Derek Sierra

Derek has over 20 years amateur and professional boxing experience. He is a former Army Master Fitness Trainer and certified defensive tactics instructor who has trained people in both group and private settings for over 10 yrs. Derek has studied and trained in various martial arts for over 25 yrs. He also trains and competes in MMA and submission grappling. Derek is certified in both Cross-Fit, Kettlebell Training and MMACA Certified Mixed Martial Arts Conditioning Coach (CMMACC)
David Giroux
Dave is CrossFit Level 1 certified, CrossFit Kettlebell certified, TRX certified and certified by Thompson Boathouse for Recreational and Race Boat Sculling (participant not instructor).His competitive athletic experience includes soccer, swimming, sailing, running and triathlon. Currently, he is training for an ice-climbing / mountaineering trip in New Hampshire (March 2010). He is headed to St. Thomas, USVI in January 2010 on doing some rock-climbing, open-water swimming and kayaking. Dave sees CrossFit as a time-efficient training methodology that allows practicioners to develop capacity to enjoy their favorite outdoor activities at a higher intensity. Dave has been training w/ CrossFit since January 2007 and teaching CrossFit since Nov 2007.His favorite CrossFit workouts are those that involve Olympic lifting, sandbag work and rope climbs.
Aviv Bercovicz
Aviv is a certified CrossFit Level 1 and Kettlebell Trainer. He also served as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at American University from 2003-2004. His athletic experience was focused on competitive wrestling at the high school and college levels. He competed at the NCAA Division 1 Level at American University under Mark Cody. His current training is centered around Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and CrossFit. He is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Blue Belt under Master Lloyd Irvin.
Brandon Stewart
Brandon is a Level 1 Crossfit Instructor and also has his Crossfit endurance completed . He has been training Crossfit for 3+ years and has a sound, fundamental understanding of why many athletes and everyday people, who have traditionally done typical workout regiments, come to crossfit and how to help them with this transition. He has been studying mixed martial arts for 5 years and plans on broadening his education to be able to accommodate fighter’s training as well as gymnastics movements.

Khemeran is NASM certified, MMACA Certified Mixed Martial Arts Conditioning Coach (CMMACC) and a CrossFit level 1 instructor / CrossFit games 2009 mid Atlantic regionals 86th place ranked competitor and combat sports enthusiast. He also competes in Muay Thai, Grappling/Brazilian jiu jitsu and Boxing.
Whether your goal is general, broad and inclusive fitness, or a more specific periodized approach for your upcoming combat sport or sport, he can help you safely and effectively get there.
Mario Martinez
Mario has over 20 years of martial arts training,competition, and coaching experience. He holds several certifications (Crossfit: Level 1 Trainer, Olympic Weightlifting, Nutrition) and has extensive coaching experience in the realm of sports science. Within the last 10 years Mario has been heavily involved in Wu Shu (Chinese Martial Arts) and has coached several athletes who have gone on to make the US Wu Shu team. He has trained in China and competed on a national level; he currently serves as a national Wu Shu judge. "My success is my clients success, I look forward to using my experience to help them attain their fitness goals"
Chau Bui

Chau is a certified Level 1 Cross Fit and Kettelbell Instructor. She has been training in kickboxing for over 10 years and also trains in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu. She adds the use of Kettlebells, various forms of resistance training, and body weight exercises as part of her cross training program. Chau has competed in women’s sports-related activities such as obstacle course competitions and fitness/figure events. On her spare time, she loves the outdoors and participates in wakeboarding, snowboarding, tennis, running, hiking, and mountain biking. She is the co-owner of Nova MMA, Personal Trainer/Life Coach, Head Kickboxing & Conditioning Instructor for the Women's Program at NOVAMMA Arlington, VA and the Program Coordinator for CrossFit Arlington.
